This role is part of a major infrastructure initiative launched under the Chief Minister’s Development Program in Punjab, which aims to improve sewerage and stormwater drainage systems across the province. The project will help prevent flooding, manage urban water drainage, and improve sanitation in growing urban centers.
To lead and monitor this large-scale project, a Program Management Unit (PMU) has been set up in Lahore, and the team is hiring a Manager (GIS) to provide expert geographic information system (GIS) support for planning, mapping, monitoring, and reporting.
As the Manager (GIS), your job will be to manage all GIS-related activities for the project, including mapping of sewer lines, analyzing drainage data, and helping the planning and engineering teams use GIS to make smarter decisions.
This is a technical role suitable for someone who has worked in GIS departments, urban planning units, or municipal infrastructure projects. You must have a deep understanding of GIS software, mapping tools, satellite data, and urban drainage system planning.
As a GIS Manager, your daily tasks will involve spatial analysis, data management, and team collaboration. Here’s a full breakdown:
Create and manage detailed GIS maps for sewerage lines, drains, flood zones, pipelines, and utility infrastructure
Use satellite imagery, drone data, and GPS data to create accurate project maps

Provide real-time GIS data for site selection, drainage modeling, and construction
Assist in making decisions based on ground realities shown by GIS visuals
Collect GIS data from various sources: field surveys, satellite imagery, and government datasets
Build and manage a centralized geospatial database for the project
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency
Prepare GIS-based reports, charts, and dashboards to share with project leadership
Use GIS tools to demonstrate project progress, changes, and geographical impact
Present visuals during government briefings and public reviews
Coordinate with external consultants, field teams, and surveyors
Ensure GIS equipment, software licenses, and field tools are maintained and updated
Train junior staff or field teams on basic GIS data collection if needed
